Boy Meets World Cast: Where Are They Now?
See what each star has been up to since coming of age on the '90s classic sitcom.

The paragon of the impeccably corny 1990s teen sitcoms; Boy Meets World ran for 7 seasons from September 1993 to May 2000, centering on Cory Matthews as he confronted the trials and tribulations of adolescence in American suburbia. In the more than 2 decades since the show’s conclusion, the eclectic cast has embarked on wildly varying careers, from running for Hollywood City Council to guest-starring on hit shows like The Sopranos. Ahead, see the latest updates surrounding what the cast have been up to since their time on the '90s classic sitcom show.
Danielle Fishel

Since the series conclusion in 2000, Fishel has continued acting and even served as the host for the Style Network satirical pop culture show The Dish from 2008 to 2011. In 2014, Fishel would reprise her role as Cory’s love interest, Topanga, for the cleverly named Boy Meets World spinoff series: Girl Meets World. Since 2022, Fishel has also hosted a Boy Meets World rewatch podcast alongside former costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle.
Ben Savage

Savage, like many of his castmates, reprised his role for Girls Meets World in 2014. Alongside acting, Savage interned for the U.S. Senator Arlen Spector in 2003 while completing his undergraduate studies at Stanford University. Savage has remained active in politics, qualifying as a candidate for West Hollywood City Council and is reportedly considering a bid for the congressional seat representing California’s 30th District.
Rider Strong

Strong ascended to 90’s heartthrob status with the assumption of his role as Shawn Hunter, the troubled best friend of Ben Savage’s character, Cory Matthews. While Strong was initially reluctant to renew his role for the Girls Meets World series, he agreed on the condition that he and his brother were allowed to direct a few episodes; having directed 18 by the show’s conclusion in 2017.
After the original Boy Meets World completed its series run, Strong attended Columbia University and obtained B.A. degree in English literature, something he still utilizes as co-host of the literary podcast Literary Disco.
Will Friedle

Alongside reprising his role as Cory’s older brother Eric for the Girl Meets World series, Friedle was credited as a writer for one of the show’s second season episodes. Outside of a range of on screen appearances, Frielde has also carved out an illustrious voice acting career, playing beloved sidekicks like Ron Stoppable in Disney’s Kim Possible and Nightwing in several Batman animated films. In addition to hosting the I Hear Voices podcast with Kim Possible costar Christy Carlson Romano, Frielde serves as a co-host for the Boy Meets World rewatch podcast Pod Meets World alongside Danielle Fishel and Rider Strong.
William Daniels

The Emmy Award-winning actor maintained a storied career both before and following Boy Meets World. Following the show’s conclusion, Daniels appeared in guest posts on shows like Grey’s Anatomy and King of Queens; even later reprising his role as principal George Feeny for 5 episodes of Girl Meets World.
Betsy Randle

In addition to reprising her role as Ann Matthew’s, Cory’s mother, for 3 episodes of Girl Meets World, Randle appeared in multiple episodes of the fantasy drama series Charmed and the 2016 comedy movie Dirty 30.
Matthew Lawrence

The Mrs.Doubtfire actor reprised his role as Jack Hunter for an episode of Girl Meets World and later appeared in a guest role on his brother’s ABC sitcom Melissa & Joey in 2015. Since late 2022, Lawrence has been in a relationship with Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas from the girl group TLC.
Bonnie Bartlett

Bartlett played Pennbrook College dean Lila Bolander-Feeny; the boss and later wife of George Feeny, played by William Daniels, her real life husband of more than 70 years. This made them one of the longest standing couples in Hollywood. Following the conclusion of Boy Meets World, Bartlett appeared in small roles in shows like Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS; her latest credit being a guest role in a 2017 episode of Better Call Saul.
